This excerpt is taken from the Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi by Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili, whose Urdu translation has been done by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
ما من ذنب أجدر أن يعجل لصاحبه العقوبة فى الدنيا مع ما يدخر له فى الآخرة من البغي وقطيعة الرحم
“There is no sin greater than oppression, rebellion, and severing of kinship ties that is punishable for the doer in this world and then stored for him in the Hereafter as well.”

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من تحلم بحلم لم يره كلف أن يعقد بين شعيرتين ولن يفعل، ومن استمع إلى حديث قوم وهم له كارهون صب فى أذنيه الآنك يوم القيامة، ومن صور صورة عذب وكلف أن ينفخ فيها الروح وليس بنافخ
"Whoever narrates a dream that he has not seen, on the Day of Judgment he will be asked to tie two knots in a rope, but he will not be able to do so. And whoever listens to the words of people who do not like to have their words heard by others, molten lead will be poured into his ears. And whoever makes the image of a living being will be punished and will be told to breathe life into it, but he will not be able to breathe life into it."

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يخلون أحدكم بامرأة إلا مع ذي محرم
"None of you should be alone with a woman who is not her mahram."
Then a man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! My wife wants to go for Hajj while my name is written in the army of such and such Ghazwa.
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إرجع فحج مع امرأتك
"You should return and perform Hajj with your wife."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إياكم والدخول على النساء
"Avoid being alone with women."
An Ansari companion رضي الله عنه asked: What do you say about a brother-in-law? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
الحمو الموت
"A brother-in-law is death."

Explanation: "Hamo" refers to the husband's relatives with whom the woman can marry, such as the husband's brother, nephew, paternal uncle, and maternal uncle, etc.
