✿ Evidence from the Hadith

In the previously mentioned Hadith, the phrase "من المسلمين" (from the Muslims) serves as clear evidence that Sadaqat al-Fitr is to be given only on behalf of Muslims. Therefore, if someone's father, mother, or servant is a non-Muslim, Sadaqat al-Fitr will not be paid on their behalf.

Imām Ibn Qudāmah (رحمه الله):
"Sadaqat al-Fitr is not obligatory upon a disbeliever, whether he is free or a slave."
[al-Mughnī: 4/283]

"Sadaqat al-Fitr is not obligatory upon a disbeliever."
