This excerpt is taken from Professor Dr. Fazl Elahi's book Masail-e-Qurbani.
The Imams Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, and Tabrani have narrated from Hazrat Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stated the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
”وفي كل أيام التشريق ذبح“
"It is permissible to slaughter the sacrificial animal on all the days of Tashreeq."

. Hafiz Haithami wrote: Ahmad and Tabrani narrated it in the middle level, and the narrators of Ahmad and others' chain are [trustworthy].

. Hafiz Ibn Hajar wrote: Ahmad narrated it, but there is a discontinuity in its chain. Dar Qutni narrated it with a connected chain and its narrators are trustworthy.

. Sheikh Shu'aib Arna'ut and his colleagues classified it as (authentic but not Sahih). (See:

.And after Eid al-Adha, there are three days of Tashreeq.

.From this noble hadith, it is understood that there are four days for sacrifice: one day is the day of Eid al-Adha and three days after it.
There are other opinions of the scholars of the Ummah regarding this. Allama Shawkani narrated five opinions, but based on the above hadith, the strongest view is that there are four days for sacrifice. And Allah Almighty knows best. The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta in Saudi Arabia wrote in their fatwa regarding this:
”أيام الذبح لهدي التمتع والقران والأضحية أربعة أيام: العيد وثلاثة أيام بعده وينتهي الذبح بغروب شمس اليوم الرابع فى أصح أقوال أهل العلم“
"According to the most correct opinion of the scholars, the days for sacrifice in Hajj Tamattu', Qiran, and Ifrad are four days: one day of Eid and three days after it. The time for sacrifice ends at sunset on the fourth day."
