This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Hussain bin Mubarak Al-Mawsili's Arabic book Al-Awamer wal-Nawahi, which has been translated into Urdu by Muhammad Sarwar Gohar Sahib under the title Ahkamat o Mamnoaat.
① Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
إن رجلا زار أخا له فى قرية أخرى، فأرصد الله تعالى على مدرجته ملكا، فلما أتى عليه قال: أين تريد؟ قال: أريد أخا لي فى هذه القرية، قال: هل لك عليه من نعمة تربها؟ قال: لا، غير أني أحببته فى الله تعالى، قال: فإني رسول الله إليك بأن الله قد أحبك كما أحببته فيه.
A man goes to another town to visit his (Muslim) brother. Allah appoints an angel to watch over his path. When the man reaches the (angel), the angel asks: Where are you intending to go? The man says: I am going to meet my (Muslim) brother in that town. The angel asks: Does he owe you any favor that you want to repay? He says: No! I only love him for the sake of Allah's pleasure. The angel says: I have come as Allah’s messenger to you that just as you love him for the sake of Allah’s pleasure, Allah loves you in the same way.

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
من عاد مريضا أو زار أخا فى الله، ناداه مناد: بأن طبت وطاب ممشاك، وتبوأت من الجنة منزلا.
Whoever visits a sick person or goes to meet a (Muslim) for the sake of Allah’s pleasure, the caller calls out to him: Good news for you, your journey is blessed, and you have built a house for yourself in Paradise.

① Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) established the bond of brotherhood among his noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them), Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) began to cry and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! You have established the bond of brotherhood and brotherhood among your noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them), but you have not made me anyone’s brother. The narrator says, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say:
أنت أخي فى الدنيا والآخرة.
“You are my brothers in this world and the Hereafter.”

① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that a man said: O Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! I have some relatives, I want to maintain relations with them but they cut off ties with me. I treat them well but they treat me badly, and I deal with them with forbearance and patience but they show estrangement towards me. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لئن كنت كما قلت فكأنما تسفهم المل، ولا يزال معك من الله ظهير عليهم ما دمت على ذلك.
"If you are as you have described, then you are like feeding them hot ashes. As long as you maintain this behavior, there will be a helper from Allah on your side against them."

① Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما reports that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said to Ashaj Abdul Qais:
إن فيك خصلتين يحبهما الله: الحلم والأناة.
"There are two qualities among you that Allah loves: patience and dignity with contentment."
