Meaning of Idtibāʿ and Its Time — Sunnah in Tawaf al-Qudum

Idtibāʿ is a specific manner related to Tawaf. It means:
◈ A man uncovers his right shoulder.
◈ Both ends of the upper garment (ridāʾ) are placed over the left shoulder.
◈ Idtibāʿ is practiced only during Tawaf al-Qudum (the arrival Tawaf).
◈ It is not legislated for any other Tawaf.
