The Reward of Luminous Words Recited After Every Prayer
Question:
What is the virtue of reciting the following words three times after each obligatory prayer and before sleeping at night? It is said that these words will become light in the grave, light on the bridge (Sirat), and light on the Sirat, until by their blessing, a person will enter Paradise.
Translation:
“Allah is the Greatest, Most Great, equal to the number of even and odd (things), and (I say this with) Allah’s complete, pure, and blessed words—three times. And (I say) ‘There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah’ the same number of times. These words will become light for him in his grave, light on the bridge, and light upon the Sirat, until he enters Paradise or is made to enter Paradise.”
