❀ Allah's Love for His Awliya

Allah ﷻ loves His close friends and loyal devotees—those who are known as Awliya Allah. Their bond is not based on worldly ties but on sincere faith and mutual love for the sake of Allah.

❖ Expressing Love for the Sake of Allah

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه):
A man was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when another man passed by. The first man said, "O Messenger of Allah! I love this man." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have you informed him?"
He said, "No."
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go and inform him."
So he went after him and told him, "I love you for the sake of Allah."
The man replied, "May the One for whose sake you love me, love you in return."
Sunan Abi Dawood, Book of Manners, Chapter: Informing a man of one's love for him, Hadith 5125 — Authenticated by Al-Albani (رحمه الله)

❖ Visiting a Brother for the Sake of Allah

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"A man set out to visit a brother in another village. So Allah appointed an angel to wait for him along his path. When the man came by, the angel asked, 'Where are you going?'
He replied, 'I am going to visit a brother of mine in this village.'
The angel asked, 'Do you owe him any favor?'
He said, 'No, I just love him for the sake of Allah.'
The angel then said, 'I am a messenger of Allah to you, informing you that Allah loves you just as you love him for His sake.'"
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Book of Virtue and Joining of Ties, Chapter: The Virtue of Loving for the Sake of Allah — Hadith 2567

❖ Honor from Allah for Loving His Servants

Narrated by Abu Umamah (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"When a servant loves another servant for the sake of Allah, Allah, the Exalted, honors him."
