This excerpt is taken from the book Nūr al-ʿAynayn fī Ithbāt Rafʿ al-Yadayn ʿInda ar-Rukūʿ wa Baʿdahu fī aṣ-Ṣalāh, authored by the Muhaddith of the era, Ḥāfiẓ Zubayr ʿAlī Zaʾī رحمه الله.

However, when we reached the Ahl-e-Ḥadīth khatīb of our village mosque, Raḥmat Ilāhī Muḥammadī Ṣāḥib, the matter turned out quite differently. When Muḥammadī Ṣāḥib presented the original ḥadīth books before us, we were astonished to see so many acts of betrayal (distortions).
These very acts of betrayal by the author of that book became a means of guidance for us, and we embraced the path of Ahl-e-Ḥadīth.

A Personal Incident
We, three or four companions, ordered the book “Ḥadīth aur Ahl-e-Ḥadīth” through a young man of our village named Maqṣūd, so that we could present the evidences of our sect to the Ahl-e-Ḥadīth brothers.
