Can women cut their hair? Is there any evidence regarding this, whether in the case of an adult or a minor?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
✿ Apart from Ḥajj or ʿUmrah, there is no Sharʿī evidence permitting women to cut their hair.
✿ Whether the woman is adult or minor, in general circumstances, there is no explicit proof in the Sharīʿah allowing them to cut their hair.
✿ Permission for women to cut hair is given only at the time of Ḥajj or ʿUmrah, as established through authentic Aḥādīth and Athār.
