❖ The Shari‘ah Ruling on Buying and Selling Dung and Goat Droppings ❖
Ruling on the Sale of Dung and Goat Droppings
There is no harm in the sale of pure fertilizers, such as dung from goats, camels, and cows—animals whose meat is permissible for consumption. The dung of such animals is considered pure, and hence, its sale is also permissible, and taking a price for it is likewise lawful.
However, regarding impure or filthy fertilizers, there is a degree of objection and scholarly disagreement. Nevertheless, when it comes to pure fertilizers, there is neither any prohibition in their use nor in their sale or consumption of their price.
