❖ Islamic Ruling on Buying and Selling Monkeys ❖
Ruling on the Trade of Monkeys
The buying and selling of monkeys, as well as similar predatory animals with fangs—such as cats (in certain contexts), dogs, and other carnivorous beasts—is not permissible. This is because the Prophet ﷺ prohibited and forbade such transactions. Additionally, such dealings involve wasteful expenditure, which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also forbade.
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Hadith No. 5527; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1932/13]
