Ruling on the Salary of an Underperforming Employee

One should avoid any salary that involves doubt and must focus on performing duties diligently so that the income remains free from suspicion. It is the employee’s responsibility to fulfill his tasks properly so that his salary is entirely lawful.
If an employee is negligent in his work, a portion of his salary becomes haram, and therefore, he should avoid this and maintain the fear of Allah in his heart.
