Is It Permissible to Give Gifts to the Bride on Her Wedding Day?​

There is no doubt that giving gifts is a praiseworthy act, as it creates love and affection among people.

Key Benefits of Giving Gifts:

• Promotes love and good relations.
• Eliminates the stigma of miserliness.
• Becomes a virtuous habit when practiced regularly.

Regarding the Bride Receiving Gifts:

• The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) accepted gifts and also gave gifts in return.
• It is from the Sunnah to accept gifts graciously.

Hence, there is nothing wrong with giving gifts to the bride on her wedding day, and it is a recommended and encouraged practice in Islam.
