Is It Permissible to Curse or Revile Inanimate Objects?

Is it permissible to speak ill of or curse inanimate objects?
It is not permissible to curse or revile any object without reason.
The Prophet ﷺ forbade cursing the wind.
(Musnad ‘Abd ibn Humayd: 167; ‘Amal al-Yawm wal-Laylah an-Nasa’i: 937 – Authentic chain)
A woman once cursed fever, upon which the Prophet ﷺ said:
لا تسبي الحمى، فإنها تذهب خطايا بني آدم، كما يذهب الكير خبث الحديد
“Do not revile fever, for it removes the sins of the children of Adam just as a furnace removes the impurities of iron.”
(Sahih Muslim: 2575)
