Chapter: Islam is the Straightforward and Easy Religion
✿ Allah Almighty says:
«وَقَالُوا كُونُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ تَهْتَدُوا ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 135]
"The Jews say, 'Be Jews and you will be guided.' The Christians say, 'Be Christians and you will be guided.' Say, 'Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists.'"
❀ Narration of Aisha:
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on that day:
"Let the Jews know that there is expansiveness in our religion. Indeed, I have been sent with a straightforward, easy religion."
[Hasan: Narrated by Imam Ahmad 24855]
