Question:
Is the truth confined to the four Madhhabs?
Answer:
According to Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah, the truth is not confined to the four Madhhabs.
❀ Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله, 728 AH) states:
إن أهل السنة لم يقل أحد منهم : إن الحق منحصر فيها وإن ما خرج عنها باطل .
"None among Ahl al-Sunnah has ever said that the truth is confined to them (the four Madhhabs), and that whatever lies outside of them is false."
