Is it proven from the Noble Prophet ﷺ that he used to raise his hands up to the shoulders in prayer?
Yes, raising the hands up to the shoulders in prayer is authentically proven from the Prophet ﷺ, as mentioned in the narration of Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA):
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, p. 102)
Translation:
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) said:
“I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he stood for prayer, he raised his hands up to the level of his shoulders. He would do the same when going into rukū‘ and when raising his head from rukū‘, while saying: Sami‘a Allahu liman hamidah. But he would not do this in sujood.”
Furthermore, another narration in Sahih al-Bukhari confirms that the Prophet ﷺ also raised his hands when standing up after two rak‘ahs.
