❀ Allah Almighty says:
﴿وَعَلَى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ لَا تُكَلِّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا﴾
(Al-Baqarah: 233)
“Upon the father is the provision and clothing of the mothers, according to what is customary. No soul is burdened beyond its capacity.”
Question
Is it the husband’s responsibility to provide maintenance (nafaqah) for his wife?Answer
Providing for the wife’s basic expenses and living arrangements is the responsibility of the husband.❀ Allah Almighty says:
