because Allah Almighty has stated:
"Indeed, he and his tribe see you from where you do not see them. Verily, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe."
[Al-A‘raf: 27]
The Noble Messenger ﷺ once mentioned to his companions his intent to capture and bind a jinn so that everyone could see it.
[Sharh Sahih Muslim 2/295]
However, seeing jinn in their transformed forms is established through authentic Ahadith. One such Hadith is when the Prophet ﷺ appointed Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) to guard the charity wealth. For three consecutive nights, a jinn kept coming and trying to steal from it. When caught, he would plead about poverty and hardship. On the third night, Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) said he would take him to the Prophet ﷺ. The jinn then advised him to recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleeping to stay protected. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He told you the truth, though he is a liar. That was a devil.”
Hence, it is possible for jinn to appear in human or animal forms, such as a black dog, scorpion, camel, snake, black cat, or black donkey, etc.
Previously, Satan also appeared in the form of Suraqah bin Malik, as occurred during the Battle of Badr, and he has appeared in human form to many Prophets such as Nuh, Musa, and 'Isa (عليهم السلام).
❀ Question:
Is it possible to see the jinn?✔ Answer:
It is impossible to see jinn in their original form and appearance, because Allah Almighty has stated:
