Yes, purchasing such items on credit is permissible in Sharīʿah.
It is narrated from Sayyidah ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها that:
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ bought food grains on credit from a Jew and placed his armor with him as collateral."
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Kitāb al-Rahn, Bāb: al-Rahn ʿinda al-Yahūd wa Ghayrihim – Hadith: 2513)
This authentic ḥadīth proves that food and daily necessities may be purchased on credit in Islam.
