Question:
Is it permissible for Muslims to seek assistance from jinn, as some practitioners do?
Answer:
No, it is not permissible, as Allah (SWT) has stated:
"And that there were men from among humans who sought refuge with men from among the jinn, and they increased them in sin and transgression." [Al-Jinn: 6]
Additionally, Allah (SWT) says:
"And the Day He will gather them all together: 'O assembly of jinn, you have made much of mankind! And their allies among mankind will say, 'Our Lord, some of us benefited from others, but we have now reached our term which You appointed for us.' He will say, 'The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowledgeable.'" [Al-An’am: 128]
There is no narration from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), his companions, or the righteous predecessors (Salaf) regarding seeking assistance from Muslim jinn in treatment or other matters. Such practices are the work of magicians and deceivers.
