Ruling on Distributing Jaggery or Sugar in Funeral Rows

Is it permissible in Islam to distribute jaggery (گڑ) or sugar among the rows of people before or after the Janāzah (funeral) prayer?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
◈ There is no evidence in the Qur’an or authentic Sunnah for this practice.
◈ Such actions are invented customs, not rooted in Sharʿī guidance.
✔ Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his companions ever distributed sweets or food in funeral gatherings or prayer rows.
✔ Therefore, this practice is a cultural innovation and should be completely avoided.

✦ Clear Sharʿī Ruling:
➊ Distributing Jaggery or Sugar is a Bidʿah (Innovation)
◈ There is no evidence in the Qur’an or authentic Sunnah for this practice.
◈ Such actions are invented customs, not rooted in Sharʿī guidance.
➋ No Practice from the Prophet ﷺ or the Companions
✔ Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his companions ever distributed sweets or food in funeral gatherings or prayer rows.
✔ Therefore, this practice is a cultural innovation and should be completely avoided.
