A "Kafir" is someone who denies or rejects. The term "Kafir" is derived from "Kufr," which means to deny or conceal. In Islamic terminology, "Kafir" refers to someone who denies or conceals the teachings and truth of Islam. A person who rejects Islam is called a non-Muslim. If a non-Muslim considers being called a "non-Muslim" or "Kafir" an insult, it is due to their misunderstanding of Islam. They should seek to access proper sources to understand Islam and its terms correctly, and they should not consider being called "Kafir" an insult. The terms "non-Muslim" or "Kafir" are not insults but are merely distinctions between Muslims and followers of other religions. There is no aspect of contempt in it. Calling a well-known term of distinction an insult is a sign of ignorance and misunderstanding.
