✿ Visiting a Dying Non-Muslim to Invite Him to Islam
According to Shaykh al-Albani (رحمه الله), there is no harm in doing so.
[Ahkam al-Jana’iz, p. 21]
As narrated by Anas (رضي الله عنه):
A Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (ﷺ). He fell ill, so the Prophet (ﷺ) went to visit him. The Prophet (ﷺ) sat by his head and said to him: "Aslim" — "Accept Islam."
The boy looked towards his father who was standing nearby, and his father said to him, "Obey Abul Qasim."
So, the boy accepted Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) then came out saying:
الحمد لله الذى أنقذه من النار
“All praise is due to Allah Who saved him from the Fire.”
When the boy passed away, the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
صلوا على صاحبكم
“Offer the funeral prayer for your companion.”
