Question:
It has been three months since my father passed away. I saw in a dream that my father had taken a second wife, which made us upset and we left. In reality, he had only one wife. Then in the dream, a plate is presented before me containing white rice, some wool, and a small green snake. I pick up the snake to eat it but dislike it and spit it out. Again, a plate is brought with white rice, curry, and snake venom. I drink the venom but spit it out, and then I wake up.
What could this dream mean?

❖ Dream Elements and Their Meanings
① Eating Snake Meat in a Dream
➤ Interpretation:
In dreams, eating snake meat symbolizes overcoming an enemy or gaining power and dominance over adversaries.
② Snake Venom in a Dream
➤ Interpretation:
Snake venom in a dream may represent wealth, money, or material gain, though it may also indicate something harmful or deceptive associated with that wealth.
❖ Combined Interpretation
This dream may indicate:
◈ Victory over hidden enemies or overcoming internal/external threats, especially through restraint and discernment, as symbolized by spitting out the snake and its venom.
◈ The repeated presence of food with snake elements could point to material or emotional challenges, perhaps linked to family matters or inheritance after the father’s passing.
◈ Spitting out both the snake and the venom reflects a rejection of harmful gains or avoidance of spiritual or emotional contamination — a positive sign of conscious moral choice.
❖ Regarding the Dream About the Father’s Second Marriage
Although your father had only one wife in reality, the dream may not reflect a literal truth but rather:
◈ A symbolic representation of inner emotional conflict or feelings of distance or unresolved matters after his passing.
◈ It may also indicate testing situations or changes in family dynamics or relationships that require patience and wisdom.
❖ Final Reflection
✔ The dream as a whole suggests:
✓ Victory over adversaries,
✓ Avoidance of spiritual or material harm,
✓ Wisdom in rejecting what seems harmful,
✓ And possibly some fluctuations in financial matters.
And Allah knows best.
May Allah grant ease, clarity, and blessings in your affairs. Āmīn.
