Question:
If one or two divorces occur, who is responsible for maintenance and housing during the waiting period?
Answer:
In the case of revocable divorce, all expenses and housing during the waiting period will be the responsibility of the husband. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
إنما النفقة والسكنى للمرأة إذا كان لزوجها عليها الرجعة
"In the case of revocable divorce, the woman is entitled to maintenance and housing."

There is consensus among Muslims on this matter.

states:لا خلاف بين أهل العلم فى المعتدة الرجعية أنها تستحق النفقة، والسكنى على زوجها
"There is no disagreement among scholars that the maintenance and housing of a woman undergoing the waiting period of a revocable divorce is the responsibility of the husband."
