Hadith 29: Dipping and removing a fly that falls into food or drink
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "If a fly falls into any of your food or drink, then dip it completely and then remove it, because one of its wings carries disease and the other carries healing."

The objection raised by the deniers of Hadith regarding this narration is that flies often sit on dirty places and carry germs that spread diseases, and the Hadith says that if it falls into a drink, it should be dipped. This act (according to their own view) is seen with great disgust by refined people, and if a fly falls into water or tea, they discard it. But the surprising thing is that if the same fly falls into a bucket of milk, melted ghee, or honey, they neither throw it out nor waste it. At that time, these so-called refined people neither see germs nor dirt. Believers have one hundred percent faith in the words of the Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him, whether they understand its wisdom or not. By the grace of Allah, scientific research has fully confirmed the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, providing another clear proof of the authenticity of the Hadith. The details are that scientists, with great effort in their laboratories, have studied the germs causing disease on one wing of the fly and the healing germs on the other wing, gaining knowledge of the germicidal substance that Allah Almighty revealed to His Prophet, peace be upon him. This is a clear proof of the truthfulness of the Prophet’s message and the authenticity of this Hadith. However, the deniers of Hadith have stubbornly objected to this narration in their ignorant manner, while doctors and experts have written the following about the fly:
The substance produced on one wing of the fly that is poisonous is called bactericidal. The characteristic of one wing of the fly is that it continuously transfers bacteria from its stomach to one side, so when the fly sits on any food or drink, it deposits germs from that side into it. The first thing that protects against these germs is the bactericidal substance that the fly carries near one wing in its stomach. Therefore, to kill the poisonous germs and their effects, it is sufficient to dip the whole fly into the food and then remove it.
