❖ Hypocrisy of Atheists vs. the Glory of Islamic Rituals ❖
✍ By Ibn Ali
✿ Exposing the Hypocrisy
For most nations, logical arguments suffice. But for those driven by hatred and prejudice, such as atheistic critics, merely unveiling their double standards is enough.
Rituals (Shaʿāʾir)—those acts performed with sincerity for the Creator—are beyond the comprehension of such minds. The Creator is not a lover shaped by human desires; He is the object of ultimate submission, before whom logic and economic calculations become irrelevant.
❖ Lavish Spending on Worldly Celebrations
You waste money lavishly on trivial joys like weddings, promotions, or parties. No one questions your extravagance, and even you never feel any guilt.
But the moment Islamic rituals are discussed, suddenly you become accountants of compassion, measuring everything in terms of monetary worth.
❖ Linking Rituals to Wealth: A Shallow View
Your obsession with evaluating rituals in coins reflects your shallowness. Our rituals stem from faith and sincere devotion, yet they still incorporate care for the poor. As the Qur’an commands:
فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ
(Sūrat al-Ḥajj: 28)
"So eat from it and feed the miserable and the poor."
The meat from Qurbānī reaches the poor, bringing them joy and making them participants in the blessings of our rituals.
❖ Your Hollow Festivals
Festivals like “Happy New Year”, “Valentine’s Day”, and “Basant” are, for you, what rituals are to us. These are vacuous celebrations filled with indulgence and self-centered pleasure. On such occasions, you spend freely in the name of joy, but when our spiritual observances are mentioned, you pretend to care for the poor.
❖ The Superiority of the Abrahamic Legacy
Our rituals are tied to the worship of the Eternal God, providing us with purpose and joy. These experiences are infinitely higher than the sentiments your superficial festivals offer.
Even you materialists harbor emotional attachment to your false rituals. If that is the case, then try to imagine the state of those who serve the One True God—though you will never fully comprehend it.
✿ Conclusion
The mockery of Islamic rituals by those who glorify empty traditions is the epitome of hypocrisy. Our rituals are not about waste, but about sacrifice, submission, and solidarity. They symbolize a life lived with purpose, principle, and faith—qualities your fleeting joys can never replicate.
