Promotion of Humanism as a Substitute for Religion
Nowadays, we are repeatedly taught to “be human” and to view matters from a “humanitarian” perspective. However, the word human here implies the meaning derived from humanism. Setting aside the true narrative of religion, we are being taught the lessons of humanity. But have we pondered whether this humanity is, in fact, a form of human-worship that is being presented as an alternative to God-worship or Islam?
The objective of humanism is to evaluate all worldly affairs not through the lens of Islam, but according to another standard. We are being taught to view the differences between nations not as Muslims, but simply as humans. This mindset is, in reality, an attempt to lay the foundation of a new religion, in which religion is seen as unnecessary, even irrational.
This new nation, called humanism, strives to eliminate any form of religious distinction among people. In this ideology, religion holds a status even lesser than that of color or race. That is, religion is no longer afforded the significance it once had in understanding the differences between nations.
According to humanism, dividing people based on religion is regarded as an irrational act. In this new thought process, religion has been reduced to a personal matter, thereby diminishing its status. To the extent that religion no longer remains an acceptable basis for distinguishing between people.
The ultimate goal of humanism is to eliminate religious zeal from the minds of people. The followers of Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, and other religions are stripped of their unique identities and are instead viewed merely as humans. To make this ideology successful, the youth and the educated segments of society are being systematically prepared under a specific agenda.
For a Muslim, such a mindset is unacceptable. Islam is a divine and legal reality; it cannot be reduced to a social idiom. Distinguishing among people on the basis of religion is not only permissible but obligatory. Adopting the beliefs of humanism is, in fact, a deviation from the religion of Islam.
