How to Avoid Worldly Thoughts During Salah
Derived from: Fatawa Ulama-e-Hadith, Kitab al-Salah, Volume 1โ Question:
If worldly matters like a meeting, transaction, or important question come to mind during Salah, should one focus on them or direct full attention to the prayer?
โ Sharโi Guidance:
โ Focus Entirely on Salah
During Salah, one must not follow worldly thoughts.
Instead, all focus and attention should be directed toward the prayer and the presence of Allah.
The purpose of worship is to present oneself before Allah with humility, concentration, and reverence (khushuโ and khuduโ).
โ The Concept of Ihsan (Spiritual Excellence)
A Hadith explains the essence of true worship:
ููุงูู: ู ูุง ุงูุฅูุญูุณูุงููุ ููุงูู: ุฃููู ุชูุนูุจูุฏู ุงููููฐูู ููุฃูููููู ุชูุฑูุงููุ ููุฅููู ููู ู ุชููููู ุชูุฑูุงูู ููุฅูููููู ููุฑูุงูู
"The Prophet ๏ทบ said: Ihsan is that you worship Allah as if you see Him; and if you do not see Him, then surely He sees you."
(Sahih Bukhari)
This Hadith defines the highest state of worship, where the heart is fully attentive to Allah.
