Question:
Did Imām Muslim رحمه الله include the narration of Hishām ibn Saʿd in the main body of Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim or only in shawāhid (supporting narrations) and mutābiʿāt (follow-ups)?

Answer:
Hishām ibn Saʿd is ḍaʿīf (weak). Imām Muslim رحمه الله included his narration only in shawāhid and mutābiʿāt, not in the main body.

❀ Imām al-Ḥākim رحمه الله (d. 405H) said:
روى له مسلم فى الشواهد.
“Imām Muslim narrated from him in shawāhid (supporting narrations).”
