Hastening to break the fast
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhail bin Saad رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يزال الناس بخير ما عجلوا الفطر
"As long as people hasten to break their fast, they will remain in goodness."

② It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يزال الدين ظاهرا ما عجل الناس الفطر ، لأن اليهود والنصارى يؤخرونه
"As long as people hasten to break their fast, the religion will prevail because the Jews and Christians delay in this matter."

③ It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
قال الله عز وجل: أحب عبادي إلى أعجلهم فطرا
"Allah Almighty says: Among My servants, those who hasten to break their fast are the most beloved to Me."

The Reward of Providing Iftar for Fasting
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid Jahni رضي الله عنه that the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من فطر صائما كان له مثل أجره من غير أن ينقص من أجر الصائم شيء
"Whoever provides Iftar to a fasting person will receive the same reward as the fasting person without any reduction in the reward of the fasting person."

Prohibition of fasting one or two days before Ramadan
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
لا يتقدمن أحدكم رمضان بصوم يوم أو يومين إلا أن يكون رجلا كان يصوم صوما فليصمه
"None of you should fast a day or two before Ramadan unless someone is already fasting, then he may fast that day."

Prohibition of obscene speech while fasting
① Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
الصيام جنة فإذا كان أحدكم صائما فلا يرفث ولا يجهل وإن امرؤ قاتله أو شاتمه فليقل إني صائم
"Fasting is a shield; so when any one of you is fasting, he should neither use obscene language nor act foolishly. If someone fights or insults him, he should say, 'I am fasting.'"

② Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (RA) also narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
إذا كان يوم صوم أحدكم فلا يرفث ولا يصخب فإن شاتمه أحد أو قاتله فليقل: إني صائم
"On the day any one of you is fasting, he should neither use obscene language nor raise his voice. If someone insults him or fights with him, he should say, 'I am fasting.'"
