➊ Teachers of Saqīq bin Ibrāhīm​


Saqīq bin Ibrāhīm narrated ḥadīths from several renowned ḥadīth scholars, including:


Sufyān al-Thawrī – (al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr by al-Ṭabarānī, 6/238)
Sharīk bin ʿAbd Allāh – (Tārīkh Baghdād, 9/232)
Shaʿbah bin al-Ḥajjāj – (al-Jarḥ wa at-Taʿdīl, 4/333)
al-Aʿmash (Sulaymān bin Mihrān) – (al-Kāmil fī Ḍuʿafāʾ al-Rijāl by Ibn ʿAdī, 3/180)

➌ Statements of the Ḥadīth Scholars (Jarḥ wa Taʿdīl)​


Hadīth critics have presented various assessments about Saqīq bin Ibrāhīm:


Ibn Ḥibbān – Included him in al-Thiqāt (7/499), indicating he was a reliable narrator.


Ibn ʿAdī – Mentioned in al-Kāmil fī Ḍuʿafāʾ al-Rijāl (3/180) that “some of his narrations contain weakness.”


al-Dāraquṭnī – Counted him among the weak narrators. (al-ʿIlal, 5/69)


Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī – Wrote in Lisān al-Mīzān (3/97) that “his narrations contain deniable elements,” indicating weakness.


Imām Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal – Said that “he is not a strong narrator.” (al-Jarḥ wa at-Taʿdīl, 4/333)


✿ Conclusion:​


Saqīq bin Ibrāhīm narrated from well-known and trustworthy scholars, and a number of respected narrators transmitted aḥādīth from him. However, his narrations exhibit signs of weakness, and various muḥaddithīn have issued criticism (jarḥ) against him. While some considered him reliable, others graded him as weak.


Therefore, his narrations are accepted only after thorough evaluation and with supporting evidence from other sources.
