However, if the recipient misuses the gift in an impermissible way, such as applying perfume in a haram manner, then the sin is upon her.
If it is known that the woman will wear perfume while going out in public (such as the marketplace), then gifting her perfume is not allowed.
This is because it would be a form of assisting in sin and transgression, which is prohibited in Islam.
Allah Almighty says:
«وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ»
[Al-Ma'idah: 2]
"Do not help one another in sin and transgression."

Is It Permissible to Gift Perfume to a Woman?
There is no harm in giving perfume as a gift to a woman, as gifting promotes love and removes malice. Moreover, the one who gives a gift earns a reward.However, if the recipient misuses the gift in an impermissible way, such as applying perfume in a haram manner, then the sin is upon her.
