Do the scholars of Ahl al-Hadith in the Indian subcontinent consider Ghusl on Friday as obligatory?
Alḥamdulillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʿammā baʿd:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ clearly said:
غُسْلُ یَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلٰی كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ
“Ghusl on the day of Jumu‘ah is obligatory upon every adult male.”
(Bukhari – Kitab al-Jumu‘ah, Muslim – Kitab al-Jumu‘ah)
This hadith explicitly states that Ghusl on Friday is obligatory for every adult male.
