From Atheism to Islam: A Journey in Search of Truth

❖ From Atheism to Islam: A Journey in Search of Truth ❖

✿ Life Background

The author belongs to a Greek family residing in London. His father wished to move away from Athens, and his mother arrived there after being expelled from a Turkish refugee camp. Despite poverty and hardships, the author's parents lived with love and tolerance. The author closely observed his father's deep intellectual curiosity and constant study.

❖ Existential Questions and Solipsism

From a young age, the author confronted questions about existence. He wondered whether the consciousness and feelings of others truly existed or not. These thoughts led him toward the concept of solipsism, which asserts that only one’s own consciousness can be known for sure. These inquiries stirred within him a strong desire to seek the truth.

❖ Quest for Truth and the Appeal of Islam

The author believes that a person remains incomplete without seeking the truth. He observed that life, without truth, felt meaningless and filled with deception. The confidence and spiritual values expressed by his Muslim friends drew him toward Islam.

❖ Embracing Islam

The author memorized a few chapters from the Qur’an and began participating in prayer. A Muslim friend, Aamir Islahī, explained to him the significance of prostration, highlighting that the closest moment to Allah is during sujood. Another friend, Muīn al-Aḥmad, opened the door to Islam in his heart by discussing the reality of death.

❖ Awareness of Death and Reality of Life

Reflecting upon death altered the author's entire worldview. He realized that life is very short and that true reality would only begin after death. This awareness brought him closer to Islam.

❖ Journey from Philosophy to Islam

The author examined the truth of Islam through logical and rational foundations. His academic background in philosophy and participation in various intellectual dialogues helped strengthen his reasoning and conviction.

❖ Purpose Behind Writing the Book

The author's book focuses on Tawḥīd in Islam and a rebuttal of atheism. It combines Qur’anic verses, Hadith, and Islamic teachings with philosophical arguments. The purpose of the book is to highlight the logical and spiritual truth of Islam and to refute the irrational foundations of atheism.

❖ A Message to the Readers

Whether you are a Muslim, an atheist, or someone experiencing doubt, the author invites you to read this book with an open mind. You will come to realize that the Islamic concept of God is both rational and true, while atheism is nothing more than an illusory and illogical mirage.
