In Light of the Qur’an and Sunnah
Allah ﷻ has created this world for a fixed time, and the Day of Judgment (Qiyāmah) is an undeniable reality. Before it arrives, numerous signs will manifest—some general, others specific.
Many of these signs have already appeared or are unfolding before our very eyes—posing a critical wake-up call for humanity.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
«إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ لَهَرْجًا» قَالُوا: وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ: «الْقَتْلُ، إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِقَتْلِكُمْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَلَكِنْ قَتْلُ بَعْضِكُمْ بَعْضًا»
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth: 2908)
Translation:
"Indeed, before the Hour, there will be widespread killing." The Companions asked: “What is Harj?” He ﷺ replied: “Killing— not of disbelievers, but of one another.”
Today, we witness violence not limited to warzones.
✔ Muslims killing Muslims, brothers killing brothers, senseless murders in streets, homes, politics, and criminal activity.
✔ Human blood is shed without mercy, and life is cheapened—a clear and terrifying sign of the nearing Hour.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
«وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هذِه»
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth: 3346)
Translation:
"Woe to the Arabs from an evil that is drawing near! Today, a hole like this has opened in the barrier of Ya’jūj and Ma’jūj."
✔ The world is in a constant state of war—not only militarily but also ideologically, economically, and digitally.
✔ Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa—all show signs of increasing conflict.
The Qur’an says:
وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
(Surah al-Takwīr: 5)
“And when the wild beasts are gathered.”
Mufassirīn (exegetes) interpreted this to mean that brutality like that of beasts will become widespread in times of war.
The Qur’an warns:
فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ
(Surah Muḥammad: 22–23)
Translation:
"Will you, then, if given power, spread corruption in the land and sever the ties of kinship? These are the ones upon whom Allah has cursed."
In today's world, for the pettiest reasons, families break apart:
✔ Siblings stop talking,
✔ Parents are neglected,
✔ Husbands and wives separate,
✔ Friendships dissolve easily.
The sanctity of relationships is diminishing—another major sign of Qiyāmah.
The Qur’an declares:
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
(Surah al-Raʿd: 28)
Translation:
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest."
Despite advancements in wealth, technology, comforts, and global fame:
✔ Hearts are restless,
✔ Sleep is disturbed,
✔ Marriages lack joy,
✔ Depression, anxiety, and mental distress are rampant.
This is a spiritual crisis—a consequence of distancing from Allah and a clear sign that the Final Hour is near.
These four signs:
① Mass Killing
② Unending Wars
③ Broken Relationships
④ Loss of Inner Peace
…are not just symbolic prophecies, but real-time warnings—a divine alert for all of humanity.
The real question is:
Will we wake up and turn back to Allah, or continue drifting in heedlessness and blind imitation?
"O Allah! Open our hearts to Your light. Grant us the understanding of these signs, the strength to return to You, and the guidance to protect ourselves and our families from the turmoil of the End Times. Āmīn."

(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth: 2908)

➋ Unending Wars – A Global Storm

Conclusion – A Moment of Reflection
These four signs:
