Proof of the Existence of Hell and an Explanation of Its Punishment
Allah the Exalted said: “Indeed, those among the People of the Book who disbelieved, and the polytheists, will be in the Fire of Jahannam, abiding therein forever. They are the worst of creatures.”
And Allah the Exalted said: “As for those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, they are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein forever.”
And Allah the Exalted said: “Whoever among you turns back from his religion and dies while he is a disbeliever—then their deeds have become void in this world and the Hereafter. Such are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein forever.”

“And the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] on that Day and say: ‘Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way! Woe to me! I wish I had not taken so-and-so as a close friend! He led me away from the Reminder after it had come to me. And Shayṭān is ever a betrayer of man.’”
Ḥadīth 31:

Hazrat Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrates that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “When Allah created Paradise and Hell, He sent Jibrīl (عليه السلام) to Paradise and said: ‘Look at it and at what I have prepared for its people.’ He came, looked at it and at what Allah had prepared for its people, and returned saying: ‘By Your might! No one who hears of it will fail to enter it.’ Then it was surrounded with hardships, and He said: ‘Go back and look at it and at what I have prepared for its people.’ He returned and saw that it was surrounded with hardships, and said: ‘By Your might! I fear no one will enter it.’ He said: ‘Go to Hell and look at it and what I have prepared for its people.’ He found it layered, one part above another, and returned saying: ‘By Your might! No one who hears of it will enter it.’ Then it was surrounded with desires, and He said: ‘Go back.’ He went back and said: ‘By Your might! I fear none will escape it but will enter it.’”

The Proportion of the People of Hell and Paradise from Humanity
“O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the Hour is a terrible thing. On the Day you see it, every nursing mother will forget what she was nursing, every pregnant woman will deliver her load, and you will see people as if intoxicated, but they will not be intoxicated; rather, the punishment of Allah will be severe.”
Ḥadīth 33:
Hazrat Abū Saʿīd (رضي الله عنه) narrates that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Allah the Mighty and Majestic will say: ‘O Ādam!’ He will reply: ‘Here I am, at Your service. All good is in Your hand.’ Allah will say: ‘Bring forth the people of the Fire.’ He will ask: ‘What is the proportion of the people of the Fire?’ Allah will say: ‘From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine.’ That is when the child will become grey-haired, every pregnant woman will drop her load, and you will see mankind intoxicated, though they will not be intoxicated – but the punishment of Allah is severe. This distressed the people greatly, and they said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which of us will be that one (saved)?’ He said: ‘Receive glad tidings, for among Gog and Magog there will be a thousand, and from you one.’”

Hazrat Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Two categories of the people of Hell I have not seen yet: people who have whips like the tails of cattle with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed yet naked, who incline [towards others] and make others incline towards them. Their heads are like the humps of tilted camels. They will never enter Paradise nor even smell its fragrance, and indeed its fragrance can be perceived from a great distance.”

Those Who Will Enter Hell Temporarily

So this one will be given from his good deeds, and that one will be given from his good deeds.
