❀ Five Categories of Wealthy Individuals Permitted to Receive Charity ❀

Narrated by Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī (رضي الله عنه):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Charity is not lawful for a wealthy person except in five cases:"
➊ One who is appointed to collect Zakat (the Zakat collector).
➋ One who buys a charitable item with his own money.
➌ One who is in debt.
➍ One who fights in the path of Allah.
➎ One to whom a poor person gifts something he originally received as charity.

Zakat Collector (عَامِل عَلَيْهَا):
Those who are officially appointed to collect and manage Zakat are allowed to receive a portion of it, even if they are wealthy.
Purchasing a Charity Item:
If a wealthy person purchases an item that was previously given as charity, there is no prohibition in doing so.
Being in Debt:
Even if one appears rich, if he is burdened with debt, he becomes eligible to receive charity to pay it off.
Fighting in the Path of Allah (فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ):
A wealthy individual who participates in Jihād or Islamic service may be supported through Zakat or charity.
Gifted by a Needy Person:
If a poor person who received charity gifts something to a wealthy individual, it is permissible for the latter to accept it.

✿ Explanation of the Five Permissible Cases:

Those who are officially appointed to collect and manage Zakat are allowed to receive a portion of it, even if they are wealthy.
