In Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, there is a narration in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that there will be twelve (12) leaders from among Quraysh. Who were those leaders? Please explain.


❀ Answer​


الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام علىٰ رسول الله، أما بعد!


In light of this prophecy of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the twelve leaders from Quraysh who have been identified are as follows:


✿ Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (RA)
✿ ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (RA)
✿ ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān (RA)
✿ ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (RA)
✿ Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān (RA)
✿ ʿAbdul-Malik ibn Marwān (رحمہ الله)
✿ al-Walīd ibn ʿAbdul-Malik (رحمہ الله)
✿ Sulaymān ibn ʿAbdul-Malik (رحمہ الله)
✿ ʿUmar ibn ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz (رحمہ الله)
✿ Yazīd ibn ʿAbdul-Malik (رحمہ الله)
✿ Hishām ibn ʿAbdul-Malik (رحمہ الله)
✿ al-Walīd ibn Yazīd ibn ʿAbdul-Malik (رحمہ الله)
