Explanation of the Shari'ah Ruling on Saying "Bhar Do Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad ﷺ"

❀ Question:

What is the Shari'ah ruling on saying "Bhar Do Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad ﷺ"?

❀ Answer by:

Fadhilatush Shaykh Abdul Wakeel Nasir حفظه الله

◈ Calling Upon in Absence (غائبانہ پکارنا):

Calling upon the servants of Allah in their absence falls under the category of Shirk (associating partners with Allah).

◈ Right of Invocation (پکارنے کا حق):

Whether near or far, one may call upon only Allah ﷻ in the unseen, because knowledge of the unseen and absolute power belong solely to Allah ﷻ.

Under the Means (ماتحت الاسباب):

If a human being or any creation possesses the means and is physically present, then making a request to them is permissible.
However, if a person is not present and is called upon in absence, this action reflects a flawed belief about the one being called upon.

◈ Corruption in Belief (عقیدہ کی خرابی):

Using such phrases and holding the belief that someone can hear from the unseen and help is categorized as Shirk.
