Islamic teachings provide clear guidance on the kinds of righteous deeds whose reward continues even after a person's death. The Prophet ﷺ explained these acts in multiple authentic narrations. Below are some major posthumous reward-generating deeds, supported by Hadith references and scholarly authentication.


➊ Ṣadaqah Jāriyah, Beneficial Knowledge, and the Duʿā of Righteous Children


Hadith:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except for three:
Ongoing charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah),
Beneficial knowledge,
A righteous child who prays for him."
