Engaging in writing and clerical work in an insurance company is not permissible for a Muslim. This is because working in such a role constitutes aiding in sin and transgression, which Allah has explicitly forbidden. Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an:
"وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ"
(Translation: And do not help one another in sin and transgression.) [Al-Ma'idah: 2]
