💄 Effects of Hair Cream and Lipstick on Wudu and Fasting 💄

❖ Question:​


Does the use of hair cream or lipstick invalidate wudu or fasting?


❖ Answer:​


A woman applying hair cream, oil, or similar products to her hair does not invalidate her wudu, nor does it affect the validity of her fast.


Similarly, applying oil or balm to the lips does not nullify the fast.


❗ Caution Regarding Lipstick During Fasting:​


If the lipstick or lip balm has a noticeable taste, and the wearer uses it in a way that the taste reaches the stomach, then:


➡️ It is not permissible to use it in that manner while fasting.

❖ Summary:​


✔ Using hair cream, hair oil, or lip balm does not break wudu.
✔ These products do not invalidate fasting, as long as nothing reaches the stomach.
Flavored lipsticks or balms must not be used in a way that their taste is swallowed during fasting.
