"When the first night of the month of Ramadan comes, the devils and rebellious jinn are chained."
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi 682, Sunan Ibn Majah 1642, Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 188/3]
Shaykh al-Albani (رحمه الله) has graded this Hadith as Hasan in Sahih al-Jami‘ (Hadith No. 759).
Furthermore, another narration by Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) states that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained."
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 3103; Sahih Muslim 1079]
These narrations affirm that the chaining of devils during Ramadan is a significant event, marking the blessings and spiritual elevation associated with the holy month.
