Do parents receive the reward for their young children's fasting?

Question:.

What are the conditions for the validity of young children's fasting? And is it correct that the reward for their fasting will go to their parents?

Fatwa:.

It is permissible for parents to train their children to fast at a young age, if they have the ability to do so, even if they are under ten years old. When any of them reaches the age of maturity, they should be compelled to fast. If a child fasts, it is also necessary for them to avoid all things that invalidate the fast, just like adults, such as eating something and other harmful things. As for the reward of this fast, both the child and the parents will receive the reward.
