Did the Jinn Prostrate Along with the Messenger ﷺ?
Answer:
Yes, indeed!
Sayyiduna Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما said:
"سَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّجْمِ، وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ، وَالْجِنُّ، وَالْإِنْسُ"
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 113/6]
“The Prophet ﷺ prostrated upon reciting Sūrat an-Najm, and along with him prostrated the Muslims, the polytheists, the jinn, and mankind.”
This narration clearly establishes that the jinn also prostrated along with the Prophet ﷺ during the recitation of the verse of prostration from Surah An-Najm.
