Did the Jinn Embrace Faith Upon Hearing the Qur'an?
Answer:
Yes, they did.
Allah ﷻ states:
"قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا ﴿١﴾ يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا ﴿٢﴾"
“Say, [O Prophet]: It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened [to the Qur'an] and said: ‘Indeed, we have heard a wondrous Qur'an. It guides to righteousness, so we have believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Lord.’”
[Surah al-Jinn: 1–2]
In this verse, Allah ﷻ instructs the Prophet ﷺ to inform the people that when the jinn listened to the Qur'an, they believed in it, affirmed its truth, and submitted themselves in obedience to it.
