Did Satan Beautify the Act of Worshiping the Sun for the Queen of Sheba?

Answer:

Yes, according to the Quran, Satan made the act of worshiping the sun appear attractive and adorned for the Queen of Sheba and her people, thereby leading them astray.

Allah Almighty says:

"I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided."

[Surah An-Naml: 24]
This verse highlights that the Queen of Sheba and her followers were misled by Satan, who beautified their wrongful actions of worshiping the sun and led them away from the path of guidance.

Further Evidence:

Allah also mentions:

"And Iblees had already confirmed through them his assumption, so they followed him, except for a party of the believers."

[Surah Saba: 20]
This verse indicates that Iblees successfully led most people astray by making them follow their desires and false beliefs, leaving only a small group of believers who remained steadfast on the truth.

Explanation:

When Allah mentions the story of the Queen of Sheba, it is to highlight that she and her followers were among those who worshiped their desires and rejected the truth. Satan played a key role in misleading them, as he had done with many other nations possessing similar qualities.

Thus, the Queen of Sheba and her people initially fell victim to the deception of Satan, who adorned their wrongful practices. However, once she encountered the message of Prophet Sulaiman (عليه السلام), she embraced monotheism and repented from her past errors.
