Denial of Fitnah is Denial of Revelation and an Act of Kufr

Denial of Tribulations (Fitnah) – Rejecting Divine Revelation is Disbelief

Source: Fatāwā Amunpuri by Shaykh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amunpuri

❖ Question:

What is the ruling on someone who denies a tribulation (fitnah) mentioned by the Prophet ﷺ and says that such a trial cannot occur in this Ummah?

❖ Answer:

The tribulations foretold by the Prophet ﷺ will certainly occur, because they are based on divine revelation (waḥy ilāhī).

Therefore, whoever knowingly denies a proven fitnah has in fact denied revelation itself — and denial of revelation constitutes disbelief (kufr).

✅ Conclusion:
Rejecting any tribulation that the Prophet ﷺ authentically informed of is tantamount to denying revelation, and such denial is an act of kufr.
